Josh Ortiz is a Filipino-American filmmaker who has directed projects for Netflix, HBO, NBCUniversal, Rideback Rise and more.

His professional career began in 2015 on the HBO TV show “Project Greenlight,” where industry veterans like Ben Affleck and Matt Damon awarded Josh “Most Unique Short Film” for his film Listen. In 2016, his short film Wake Up was selected out of 1,500 entries and had a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival.

He recently worked as the in-house filmmaker for NBCUniversal, where he directed and edited content for properties like Super Nintendo World, Universal Studios Hollywood and Dreamworks.

Josh is open to feature and television opportunities, and is ready to take his years of storytelling experience to whatever comes next. He and his wife Valeri Ortiz, a composer, live in Los Angeles.
