Dad
Emilio, a devoted husband and father decides to have a vasectomy done. Before the procedure, he's met with the news that nothing needed to be changed; he's never been able to have kids. He now has to go home to face the family he thought was his.
Director’s Statement:
Dad is a film made to parallel the different dynamics that we all experience with our families throughout different points of our lives. Each character represents the good and bad in us; the level-headed versus the impulsive, and the innocent versus the ignorant. Our message touches on the importance of communication within families... Particularly between partners and healing from past traumas.
Throughout the production process, we found that the story resonated on a personal level with many of the cast and crew, and we hope that our audience will identify similarly and even be compelled to reflect on their own ideals.
